Carrier Applications

Covering a huge range of applications and software solutions, all of which are centered around enabling Carriers, Service Providers, Network Operators, Fixed Line Operators and Mobile Network Operators to offer their subscribers innovative, practical, useful and above all "revenue generating applications"

Anana are specialists in innovation around "Carrier Applications" and have been actively embracing concepts from leading mainstream Telecoms Equipment Vendors like Alcatel-Lucent and their modern day efforts to enable their underlying infrastructure for "Applications Enablement"  Typically this involves the opening up of proprietary interfaces to infrastructure using standards based tools that allow the 3rd party application developer, like Anana, to explore and innovate on new idea's, applications, functions and features of the underlying infrastructure.

Anana teamed directly with the Integrated Media and Communications (IMC) Division of Alcatel-Lucent to actively embrace the core capabilities of these newly exposed interfaces and to date has developed, qualified and demonstrated some incredible feats of innovation and thought-leadership.  All of these "Applications Enablement" capabilities help Anana Carrier Clients to embrace new and active revenue streams, reduce subscriber churn, increase average revenue per user (ARPU) and broaden the nature of the Carriers relationship with their consumers.  Just a few of the applications enabled by Anana and Alcatel-Lucent Carrier Applications Enablement activity are described here for you. These do not represent all; but simply a view into the exciting world of standards and openness in core Telecommunications Infrastructure.

intelligent Network Front Door (iNFD)

This is another innovative and incredible exploration of latent network assets in a refreshing and unique form that allows a telephone operators network to be, once again, a key element of its consumers day to day interactions with his or her outside world. Anana has linked the Alcatel-Lucent Integrated Media and Communications Subscriber Data Management (SDM) Suite with the worlds leading Voice Platform (Genesys Voice Platform - GVP) to create a dial-tone for the network that is subscriber intelligent! SDM links common infrastructure assets like databases, payment, location based services, home location registers (HLR's) and Home Subscriber Systems (HSS) to a real-time and abstracted interface which allows the Anana application to provide contextually sensitive experiences for each consumer using the operators network. For example, Caller phoned the Carrier to ask for an update on a replacement handset last Friday.  Now, on Tuesday the week after the same caller is phoning back. The chances are that this consumer is phoning to get an update on the status of their request.  Wouldn't it be a much better experience for this caller to hear "We see you have an open request about your handset, is that why you are calling today?"  There is a very high likelihood that the correct application of knowledge in the form of who, what, why, when and where to the logic of the interactions the consumers enjoy on their network will be spot on to their actual circumstances!  In other words, by using, in real-time, what you as an operator know about a consumer, and their interactions with you the more your network can follow their profile and needs in real time. To use Alcatel-Lucent terminology the subscribers Identity is their Service Profile!  Other examples of this technology in action can be "Sorry, the number you have called is not available. You have 2 Pounds credit on your account, would you like to top-up your phone now?", or, "The person you are calling would like me to take a message, would you like to leave one?", or, "We have a very special promotion with BuckStar Coffee Shop just 100 yards from your current location that gives you a free muffin with a coffee. Would you like to receive a discount coupon and a map via MMS for this offer?".....and so on. The sky is the limit on the ways in which the things a Carrier knows about a subscriber through latent information stored across a wide array of infrastructure can be brought to bare concurrently to manifestly change and personalize the very experience of making, using, and accepting telephone calls and other media interactions.
